Battletech was the second game I started playing (after D&D) - too bad they stole so many designs from other people :(
I had never heard of the Gundam universe until some years ago when I found a novel trilogy at a used bookstore. Wish I still had them, they were really cool - and I've liked the ever-crazier Gundam mechs since.
Neon Genesis Evangelion was a crazy show, but it was really cool too.
